The warmth of home, born from wood and nature
Even forty years ago, it was clear that a small farm couldn’t provide enough income for a modest living. Surrounded by forests, and with growing demand from the local community and nearby industry, we began working with wood as a supplementary activity — which, over time, grew into a small business. Along the way, we nearly forgot that we live in a place many modern people can only dream of. It was our children who noticed it first. And that’s how the idea was born – today, a campsite stands here, where nature, peace, and a warm, homely atmosphere tell their own story, both under the open sky and in the shade of the trees.
The sawmill, which still runs from time to time, is slowly becoming part of the past, while the future belongs to nature and hospitality. This is what we are building on and we continue to strive for – because we want every guest to find their own space here for relaxation, peace, and a few simple moments just for themselves.
Camp embraced by nature
At the edge of the Zgornja Idrijca Landscape Park, just below the Zadloška Plateau and next to our homestead, lies a campsite with space for up to twenty parking spots, suitable for smaller and possibly even larger vehicles. Guests are also welcome to pitch their own tents. The campsite features well-maintained sanitary facilities, including dishwashing stations and a laundry room. It is also accessible to people with disabilities, with adapted restrooms available. We keep a small herd of deer and mouflons on our farm. Visitors can watch them up close during feeding time, usually around 7 PM.
The campsite is an excellent starting point for shorter or longer walks, perhaps even a hike to Špičasti vrh nad Zadlogom, or Javornik nad Črnim Vrhom. The Črni Vrh Plateau in general, as its natural terrain is ideal for cycling. During the summer months, swimming and relaxing by the Idrijca River is also possible. Near the campsite, there is a bus stop where you can hop on a free weekend shuttle to the Naravno kopališče Lajšt. If you are looking for peace, the shelter of the forest awaits—a place to disconnect and enjoy nature.

In July and August, on the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays, in good weather) , a free shuttle bus will run on the route:
Črni Vrh – Camp Holzer – naravno kopališče Lajšt.
Take a walk on the NATURE TRAIL
You're invited to take a walk along the forest trail, which leads you around the fence with its wonderful inhabitants – deers and mouflons. The trail is easy, undemanding, and suitable for all ages, from the youngest explorers to older nature lovers. It is about 2 kilometers long and can be comfortably completed in an hour without rushing.
